Ways to Make Extra Money
With the state of the current economy being what it is, many people are looking
for ways to make extra money. You may need to earn a little extra cash to help pay bills, for
groceries, or simply to help relieve some of the financial strain you have been under. Today, there are many ways you
can earn extra cash, mostly from your own home. Many people have lost their jobs or had hours cut; you may not be able
to find work that pays what you are used to making, which puts a strain on the family budget. Until you can find suitable
work (and even after you do,) there are many legitimate ways to put a little extra dough in your bank account. Here
are a few ways to earn extra money you may want to consider:
- Focus groups, online and phone surveys - Yes, people really do make some additional money doing this type of work! For an hour of your time, you can make
up to $75 or $100 giving your opinion or participating in a focus group. Companies all over the world pay good money
to learn what consumers think about their services and products in order to make a better product/service that results in
increased sales.
- Freelance work -Today, freelancing is one of the best ways to make extra money. Whether you can write short articles, edit, do
some typing for a company with a small project or design logo's, companies hire people on a job-to-job basis to do the work
they need done. There are millions of online business owners who will pay you to write content for their website, articles
and more - and the pay is exceptional. I can vouch for this, as I earn on average $600 every week writing for website
owners on the web.
- Sell your "junk" on eBay - Nearly everyone has some old junk or things they no longer use collecting dust around the house. Why not get it out,
and earn some extra dough doing it? If you have a lot of "stuff" you could do without, you can earn some serious
cash on eBay and other online auction sites.
- Mystery shop - This is another "opportunity" you may have thought sounded too good to be true. People actually do make
some good money as a mystery shopper; while it probably won't be enough to be considered a full-time income, it is easily
possible to earn a few extra hundred per month. The work is sporadic - you may work one job one week, 3 the next.
Merchants want people with an eye for detail and a good memory to come in and "scope out" their stores, restaurants
and other businesses, then write up a report of what you found. This helps them improve customer service, cleanliness,
etc. Basically, companies want a report on the company from the customers point of view.
- Blogging - Blogging is one of the easiest (and most fun) ways to make extra money from your home. Whether you want to blog
about kids, cooking, your favorite music, playing golf, Nascar, politics or any other topic that is near and dear to
your heart, you can make money by adding Google Adsense ads and affiliate links. If you think blogging would be the
perfect way for you to make money from home in your spare time, check out our blogging page!
- Shop
garage sales and flea markets - then sell your bargains on eBay for a nice profit! People who visit eBay
love all sorts of things, from old antique pictures and books to jewelry, home decorating items and well, any kind of "junk"
you can find really. The old saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure" holds true on eBay.
